RIYADH: Leaders from the Arab world congratulated King Salman on the success of this year’s Hajj season, Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
The President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed sent a cable to the king congratulating him on the success of Hajj, saying it was down to the grace of God and then the care of the Saudi leadership and its eagerness to serve pilgrims.
The UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum and Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan also sent similar cables.
The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah also sent congratulatory cables to both King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He praised the expansion and growth taking place at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
He also praised the development of smart services and technologies that meet the needs of pilgrims, benefit them, and facilitate the performance of rituals.
Bahrain’s King Hamad sent a cable of congratulations, praising the Saudi leadership for the efforts it has made around the clock to successfully organize the Hajj rituals and serve pilgrims so that they can perform the pilgrimage safely and with ease.
The Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani also congratulated King Salman. In a cable, Sheikh Tamim wished for further progress and prosperity in the Kingdom.
The Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq also congratulated King Salman. He praised the great efforts made by the Kingdom’s government and people to serve Hajj pilgrims.
The rulers of Sharjah, Umm Al-Quwain, Ras Al-Khaimah, Fujairah, and Ajman also congratulated King Salman on the success of this year’s Hajj season.
Pilgrims pelted the jamarat and performed the Farewell Tawaf on Tuesday, bringing this year’s Hajj to a close.
